Please inform more informations:

What kind of pump with what pressure is,.....?

I don't know what you mean "how to calculate its performance"

thanx for your respond. its a double tandem seal, the product is C2 rec.rich/C3. suction pressure is 4200 KPaG max, discharge 3380 KPaG. 2950 rpm. plan 12/52.

ermmm, what i mean with pumping ring performance is, the performance of the seal in terms of the fluid flowrate to compare before and after the installation of pumping ring.

or, maybe i don't get a clear picture on what is the related properties need to be considered when we want to design a pumping ring.

the product is C2 rec.rich/C3.

Kindly detailed the above product please? The purpose of Pumping Ring is to create a centrifugal force that will drive the liquid out from the outside diameter of the seals back to Nonpressurized external vessel.

API Piping Plan 52 call for "Nonpressurized external reservoir with forced circulation" This means that the force circulation is created by the pumping ring inside the mechanical seal.

When u buy the mechanical seal according to API PIPING PLAN, pumping ring is included on the seal cartridge. "Seal Cartridge" are now the latest innovation in mechanical seal technology. This means that manual installation error on site shall be avoided as it is supplied in a cartridge seal which is ready to install on the seal chamber.

If the host of this thread wants to look for a new mechanical seal to fit on the pumps please advice and i will be happy to recommend you the best seals in the market today!

Sir, If I understand you correctly, you may be asking for a flushing line or cooling line for your mechanical seal, OK

If so, well, if the pumped fluid is clear and safe say water at ambient temprature, you may tap a line from the discharge line to the in-tap port of the seal and tap out to drain. If the pumped fluid is not suitable, say slurry or very hot corrosive you can tap in from a water tank and tap out to drain or circulate to tank again. You do not need to pressurize the tank, but you may need to make in ahigher level than the cl of pump

Should you find me not answering properly, well, sorry, this what comes to me from your message

You may explain in more detaiks with a layout or and send it directly to:
