The CIA Museum - Cool Cold War Gadgets

03/28/2006 10:23 AM

I just found this cool section of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) site, called the CIA Museum which details a number of gadgets and artifacts used for espionage during the Cold War and WWII. Among the notable items are an Enigma Encoding Machine, a tiny Minox Camera, a disguised seismic motion detector, and some of the leaflets dropped during Operation Desert Storm.

Did you read the invitation?

Almost sounds like you should RSVP...

I wonder what will be in this museum 50 or 100 years from now. My guess would be some sort of URV or drone aircraft. What do you think?

I'm sure they will have some of the things like Carnivore and Phoenix. Carnivore is an e-mail reader on a grand scale and Phoenix can recreate a screen at a distance based on it's radiation pattern.
Or so "they" say.
