Is this bank being used as a noise filter, a power stabalization bank, an actual starter for heavy load factors or load demands? More information for the intended usage would help refine the answer and help you are looking for.

The bank is supposed to be used for power factor correction only. There would be induction motors and lighting load and it is required to maintain the power factor around 0.95 lagging always. How would i decide the required KVAr rating of the bank and what factors should i consider while selection of bank. I think i am clear with my question now.

So adequate personnel protection for the live terminals becomes another factor on the list.
