Needed: Digital Protractor

04/03/2006 8:19 AM

I'm trying to find a digital protractor that can attach to a compound miter saw. I need it to set the bevel in relation to the saw table not to true level. I've found one (SPI 31-038-3) but unable to "set" zero. Any help welcome.

Bosch Tools makes a good one, also Starret makes one and so does Mititoyo.

Inclinometer

These economical inclinometers from U S Digital are OEM type devices, but they are available with an "index" output which can be used as a setpoint and angles measured to either side of zero. Of course a readout of some type would be needed.
