If you are NOT experienced in refrigeration, its a bad idea to play with any controls because employers frown on spoiled food. Playing with control settings could also cause compressor short-cycling which means premature death.
Reefer's typically cool to approx. +10° F while cold storage typically is 0°F to -10°F.
Please don't let anyone saddle you with responsibility for this until you have proper training.

Hi Bibo,
Call the equipment supplier to get copies of the manuals for all of the equipment that you have responsibility for. Without them you are just asking for trouble.
Occupational Health and Safety legislation where I am REQUIRES user manuals for ALL mechanical equipment be available to any staff who may need to use said equipment.
Once you have the manuals, follow the manufacturers recommendations.
Good luck!

Good answer! Advice you get from the manufacturer themselves will always 'cover your ass' if something goes wrong.
If you are storing food products, some vendors want their food a certain temperature, colder is NOT always better. Too cold can ruin some foods or ruin packaging. The vendors will tell you.
Then when you know what temperatures the food people want their product stored at, ask the equipment supplier's tech people how their piece of equipment should operate.
They may want longer or shorter run times on compressors, they may want certain cut-in and cut-out pressures for condenser fans AND, these parameters can vary depending on the climate where you are located, but they will know.
If they discuss your answers via telephone, ALWAYS place a follow-up e-mail so that you have their suggestions in writing!! You know the old story....
