Remote Controlled Wireless Gas Valve

01/08/2008 2:31 PM

Need help in commercializing product with a compelling opportunity in gas utility sector. Customers identified, and most components as well. Need to integrate valve, transceiver, actuator in one package that is installed in gas line at meter in businesses and homes.

One Word of Caution:

L-I-A-B-I-L-I-T-Y

Check all codes and standards. Get insurance.

1. The system should be extremely low power (or other approaches to GUARANTEE safety).

Electricity and Methane are a volatile combination.

It can be done, but only with great care.

What is the price target?

email me for more thoughts.

Appreciate your response. The circuitry is to be intrinsically safe, and powered by AA battery.

Price target for valve, is ~$100.00 no including hand held device. Purpose is to allow technician to shut off valve remotely.

Need company that can be integrate and produce. Must be able to design/incorporate linear actuator, transceiver etc with valve, which should be simple gate valve similar to earthquake design, but without the ball configuration.

Let me know your thought. Thank you.

Thanks soya123. Sent email as suggested, await response. Web site is not functional, probably under construction? This project is not an academic exercise, and customers are identified etc. Need company to collaborate with, and have expertise to complete design, prototype, to manufacture etc.
