Have a plastics problems? The Plastics Processing and Molding Troubleshooter from IDES automatically diagnoses a plastics problem and suggestions an answer based on user-provided input. For instance, by first determining a problem with "PET polyester," then narrowing the problem down to "cracks," the tool suggests eight ways to combat the issue. Plastics Processing Problems

What an awesome resource and I'm very grateful that you shared the link. Every plastic behaves differently when processed (every batch does but that's another matter!) and having a resource to help review generally accepted principles for improvement is going to help a LOT of people, improve quality, minimize downtime, etc. I'd like to think that every process industry (papermaking, chemical processing, etc.) could develop a similar tool.
