Local suppliers of H2SO4 can give best-practice advice for the strength being considered, based upon their experience of supplying other customers.

It depends on the concentration. If its 98% or above, regular carbon steel is fine since there is very little water present to actually corrode the steel.

Less than that then you will want to use a plastic or lined steel. Commonly used materials are glass lined steel vessels and teflon lined pipe. Pfaudler and DeDietrich will sell you the vessels, Crane will sell you the pipe.
