40 NI 6 CR4 M 03 (EN24) becomes pearlite in microstructure and becomes banite when quenched in oil. Please confirm.

All steels (under .8% C) form a mix of pearlite and ferrite on annealing. Depending on the severity of the quench, they form martinsite or bainite. Martinsite has sharper, needle-like appearance in a metallograph while bainite is more feathery. In practice, they can be very hard to tell apart.
