question can i use a inductotherm VIP power-track 145 KVA 3 phase 469volts 185 amps with outputs 125 kw 1650volts 1920amps 3200hz inplace of a 3 phase, 180 kva 25 volt output, saturable core reactor controlled. shunt trip, manual "on" circuit breaker?

No. On the Inductotherm VIP's, the output voltage is really not controlled other than tripping on over voltage. If the redline on the VIP is 1650v, then that is what the output is. Trying to control this unit at 25volts would be darn near impossible. Just turning the inverter on gives you about 250volts. Frequency is what controls the output. Turn on frequency on a 3kHz unit is about 500hz. If you go much lower than this, the unit can give you nasty results.
