Insert torx screw

01/23/2008 3:51 PM

Hello,

I am looking for an insert torx screw which in an M4 x 0.7, approx. 0.400" long with an included angle of 40 degrees on the head. I've found plenty of 60 and 72 degree angle heads but no 40 degree. The insert and tool are both specials so no back tracking through published information to locate a part number for the screw is available.

The torx screw appears to be unmodified. I checked with MSC, RMC, Circle Machine and Sandvik with no luck....any ideas out there?

Thanks....Steve

Your tool can be tracked by type and name of insert, that was being used; or by the dimensions of your tool.

The other way, you can re-turn your screw head from 60 degree to 40 degree, or try to use 60 degree head screw, if there is no problem you can use it instead of 40 degree head screw.

The final way buy new tool with inserts.

Good luck.
