Putting computers back to work for us?

01/31/2008 4:51 PM

Is there any out of work programmers and engineers who can understand not wanting to go through the big companies to attempt any product in electronic design or application?

After viewing several issues with Homeland Security's electronic plans even a technician of my caliber can add several benfitical elements to such, but not with out completed design or protype to show operation.

Which brings me to out a work marketing engineers isn't there still a way in American to earn cash for pausible design applications especially if it assist the US Government?

I fully understand wanting to avoid big companies. Over my career I have moved to smaller and smaller companies...there are only 8 of us where I work now. Small is beautiful. It is also the beauty of electronics/computing...you can do a huge amount without vast expenditure or manpower...

Good luck

I am retired programer (sort of, because i have my own company), and i surely understand about abhoring work with big companies that simply stole my work claiming their programmers have allready done same, but I did not get what it has to do with electronic? It is unfortunate that I have many ideas, but due to financiall problems cannot realize them as I fight for bare survival living from 400$ per month pension which is far from enough for family of two even in my poor country........

Like You, I also can spot what improvement could be made in some product, or instantly think of much better way to do same thing, due to my 2.14 IQ in logic thinking...

What use? I need financing, and if I explain idea (which is then obvious by hindsight) to somebody who have money and could understand what I am talking about, then it is stolen at once, and they would not sign an contract before I explain what it is all about.........

Still, title of this thread >>Putting computers back to work for us?<< seems to have little conection with question here?

I looked in this thread because I have idea how to make program that would enable anyone to design any device, having just basic ideas, whereupon program would analyse it and say if it could work or not, and if it could, then show animation of this device in work, showing results on appropriate metering device. Then, program would try to >>evolve<< superoptimall solution for this device, where criteria would be best quality, most effective work and lowest production price.............

Therefore, THAT would really make computers to work for us, and it would be big benefit for any inventor, industriall designer, or construction engineer!

If that would be also made available by contract, where user should pay 25% of profit earned from production of devices constructed using this program, but program would esentially be FREE (baring cost of contract Notarization) and downloadable from WEB page, so EVERYONE would be able to afford using it, then World would benefit, too! There could also be option for BIG companies to RENT this program, if they would not like to pay 25% of pure profit they would make, but it would be expensive in this case!

I also have idea how to solve financing problems of inventors and engineers like You, and I have described it on one thread allready: There should be fund where engineers or investors can be members, by paying money for their share of fund, where one share would be equall to one Euro, and shares would be purely virtuall, not on paper (to save cost of printing them)........ Then, there would be >>Inspection board<< consisting of engineers, where any of engineers participating in fund could be included or can vote for some project to be funded or not. All projects that get funding would be obligated to return funding after some time, regardless of its sucess, but those projects that suceed should pay 20% of net profit earned from production of device in question, too. Project should be ranged by its benefits for World community, specially in the beginning when fund would not have lot of money allready. Whatever money would be collected from succesfull projects would be divided among supporting members in proportion to amount one invested when compared to size of whole fund at time money is received. Same way would financing be distributed for any project that get approwed, and evidence would be kept how much of shares is invested and how much of them is free. Free shares could be pulled out by one investing them, if one would need money, whereupon fund would be that much smaller and proportion of that investor would also be that much smaller. All money that is not allready invested would be kept in the Bank for >>on sight interes rate<< so there would be no money loss due to inflation or inactivity, but I believe there would be more interes for financing projects then there would be money...........

That way we could also make MONEY to work for us, too!
