Matter/Antimatter

04/26/2006 2:02 PM

Is there a parallel universe made of antimatter or are there antimatter galaxies in our universe?

Nobody Knows

An electron has negative charge and a specific mass. A positron has the same mass and positive charge. Why do we call the positron antimatter and the electron we call matter? Simply because the electron is the much more common form of matter.

Now take a Proton, it has a certain mass and positive charge. Antiprotons have the same mass and negative charge, so why are they antimatter and protons are matter? Simply because protons are more plentiful in the universe.

So you see, antimatter is a bad name, because it implies a fundamental difference from matter. Antimatter is just rare matter. NOW, the reason why there is the big question of where is all the antimatter is because the particle physcists believe there should be equal amounts of matter and antimatter. This is based on their current theories, that are constantly being revised.

So rather than answer your question, I'll put the question to you slightly modified. What is more likely, that there are vast hidden universes of antimatter, vast hidden galaxies of anitimatter, or that particle physicists need to fix their theory?

That is the definitive statment 'nobody knows' whenever Science comes up against an unknown it invents a fit, nine times out of ten the fit proves to be wrong in the long run. The more questions we ask the less we understand but thats being human I suppose. by the time we understand as much about life and its complexes as we can, we are to old to enjoy it and die

There are base assumptions in your logic that flaw your thought patterns on this issue. First of all you have leapt logically to the point stating Antimatter is less quantified in the universe, well when I look into space, where in fact the first antimatter was first discovered eclipsing in the orbit of a planet's moon by scientists of recent days, you can plainly see that anitmatter is likely to be as vast as matter, where matter is substance in the proper mixtures that form into objects that are thriving and alive, while anitmatter is not properly mixed to form the same objects but would in fact form antiobjects. I dive into the mental as our real issue, in fact you see antiobjects on a daily basis and that your brain, formed of matter, processes this and then disregards as irrelevant. You can likely assume that there are some forms of matter and antimatter that can bond/blend which would form something of substance/antisubstance that could be seen, felt, heard, smelt or tasted but never to same degree that would equal that of pure matter or pure antimatter. If you can wrap your mind around this then you will be on your way to solving the equation to your problem. Do me a favour, when you solve this equation, keep it to yourself so that all the beings of the antiverse become sane!

So many assumptions in man written novels etc. like 1001 Arabian-Nights & more have come true.

In Holy Quraan God says:
I have created every-thing in PAIRs.
I hope a time will come when more will be revealed
