Bluetooth and printers

Can you make a non bluetooth printer into a bluetooth one? If so, do you just have to plug the bloototh dongle into an adaptor and straight onto the USB wire?

Don't just take my word for it, but I would think this is highly unlikely. Your printer has to know how to handle both the USB protocol and the Bluetooth protocol. Typically, with a change this significant, you usually have to purchase an adapter card for your printer.
