Equation Editor

Does anyone know of an Equation Editor that works in Power Point and Microsoft Word? I use Microsoft Equation right now and it's torture. There must be something better out there.

Check out MathCast

Mathcast is an open-source equation editor that works pretty well. Its entry system takes a little getting used to, but once you get it, it's really fast.

Mathcast doesn't integrate directly with Word or Powerpoint. You have to paste your equations in as images, but you can keep the editable originals in Mathcast.

Anyone used mathcad? I did in college it's been a few years but I think I incorporated my work into both word and powerpoint presentations for course assignments. I could be making it up too. Like I said it's been a while. WC
