Calibration Procedure Freeware?

02/18/2008 12:57 PM

I am in the process of completely updating my companies Quality Department.

We are a mid-sized machine shop.

What I am hoping to find is an opensource for internal calibration procedures. Specifically for thread plug gages.

I know all the gory details of internal calibration requirements as they relate to NIST traceability as well as ISO requiremnets - so please no lectures.

Just any help locating free-ware or templates for ISO approved/compliant procedures.

Thanks to all.

Charles

Not aware of opensource among my guys.

PQ Systems in Dayton Ohio is a good supplier of a total package of SPC, Gage
Calibration, and Gage R&R. they offer a good mature product at a reasonable
price with lots of support and training if needed. www.pqsystems.com

GageTrak by Cybermetrics, is fine but we have some reports from one shop about some quirks but they like how it manages things . another package we've heard great things about is Cool Blue by Blue Mountain, www.Coolblue.com not aware of prices; they look big ticket.

My personal choice (if I were making the choice) is Altegra. I know the president and he is as savvy an SPC guy as I know. He will be speaking at our next national Technical conference.

GageManager™: Calibration Tracking, Gage R&R,
Gage Inventory Management

GageManager is a comprehensive package for calibration tracking, measurement system analysis, and gage inventory management. GageManager provides the following functionality: calibration scheduling, calibration tracking, calibration studies, gage R&R studies, gage R&R scheduling, device usage tracking, device usage history, and gage repair history. GageManager also includes a powerful "waterfall" model calibration scheduling mechanism based on families of devices and device use patterns. Our innovative "dash board" screen design keeps status information at your fingertips.

www.altegra.com go to products then click on Gage manager.

I'll ask my linux guys what they know.

A search produced these hits, from which some information may flow?
