buy a mechanical clock or an egg timer. or ask a local terriost union for help.

I reality what type of mechanical timer are you looking to make or info on

something like the old gradfather clocks or use in an industrical setting or some where

there is no power? You could google "clock works" that could start you in a direction.

Al though a little more info would help in what you want.
