lockout procedure

In a computerized system a mechanic has to isolate a motor to work on, where is the best place to do this.

At the M.C.C. Motor control center (if they have it)

where they have the inverters and starters.

Phoenix is right, lock it out at the MCC, but before working on it try the start button to make double sure you locked out the right breaker. Lock, tag, and try!!
