Live telephony

02/27/2008 9:58 PM

Hi Everybody ,

We have now different and advanced technology for mobile communication we can add an extra feature of video communication to it. The live video of the people talking in the mobile can not only hear them but also watch them. The only feature we have to add is we can have a camera above the display screen and to transmit and receive the video information we can use an extra band near 2GHz.

Hello Guest,

Many people these days realise the intrusion of technology into their lives, with consequent loss of personal information, Identity theft and so on.

I for one, use cellphones on an emergency basis only, for me to call out, not for others to be interrupting what I am doing.

There seems to be a current obsession mainly with the young and/or the less mature, to think they must be immediately available, and have the instant reply, when a text message arrives, or the phone rings.

I use a phone to talk to/from another, not to be seen, which may detract somewhat from the conversation too.

So, count me out, and think of the bandwidth, energy, and earth resources, that I and others like me, will be saving.

Kind Regards....

Advantage of this would be you can give visual instructions to a person who is in the feild and need detailed instructions. This can be achived by loging in on the net via cell phone and chatting on Messenger service with web cams, it may need some modification in the instrument and software.

Shades of Dick Tracy and the Two-Way Wrist Radio -- which became the Two-Way Wrist TV!

Technology is going to have to get quite a bit better before this is even halfway feasible. The processing power in a small handheld device (that is also a cell phone) just isn't there to create quality video. Look at the jerky video that they create -- in less than 30 second clips today.
