Lube oil pump required

02/29/2008 9:41 AM

Need to apply a constant pressure of 2 bar (30psi) of gear oil to a seal for a test.

The oil viscosity is 167 c/st at 40 Deg C.

Any offers please!

A peristaltic will do it, the pressure tends to pulsate, but you could set a blow off valve at 2 bar.

Any flow rate? Or is it basically v low flow/static pressure.

Chemicalcontrols.co.uk can sell you a 12v DC pump which would do it.

(12v DC rinse pump, stainless steel roller guide, silicone rubber tube...[I'm guessing the more common EPDM tube wouldn't like the oil?]).... we can stick one in a box with a transformer and bridge if you like, or add loads of fancy unnecessary electronics.

email sales@chemicalcontrols.co.uk or phone 01279 423550 (say Derek gave you the details)

I dunno about prices...I'm the tech' guy

Fill the gear housing up so that the fluid level is above the seal. Adapt a air regulator to the fill or breather port and pressurize to the require test pressure.
