Pollution Control

03/13/2008 7:50 AM

With bag filters ventury scrubbers, cyclones and ESPs etc now used is it posible to control the pollution in Steel industry to a level acceptable to world bank norms (in an economically viable standards?)

Is there any other better methods of pollution controls now

Yes. Counter-current flow plate and packed tower scrubbers can remove both particulate and gaseous pollutants very effectively; however, they are prone to clogging when used to scrubbed high particulate air, so cyclones, baghouse filters and ESPs should be used before them when scrubbing high particulate, high gaseous pollutant air.
