Conducting fabric

I'm looking for a fabric that could be used to send heartrate signals to a polar device, does anyone know about any company that manufactures such fabric?

You might go to www.makezine.com and search through their archives - they often have wired clothing of various kinds. It might give you some ideas.

Take a look too at some of the static dissipating companies. They have some flexible sheet materials that might work.

Manufacturers of body armor use an outer fabric that conducts electricity. That might be a start.

What about fiber optics?

LED with modulation and a small piece that can transduce the heart beat into electric signal then light then whereever.

No current = no losses & no hazard
