The standard size of Electrical control panel ,do you mean BIS standards or any other standard ? There are many types of electrical control panel and the size of the panel depends on the number and size of the components, voltage and quantum of wiring and where it is to be installed ( in door/out door) or where it is to be mounted etc. So if you can provide more details, more informative and useful reply can be provided. I mean you elaborate your thread.
Hope you understand ISI ( Indian Standard Institution )Now it is called BIS ( Bureau of Indian Standards) who specifies the quality of Indian Products. Once a product is marked ISI the quality of the product has to be manufactured confirming to that specification or that standard. All products are given an IS number. As an example IS 13947-1993 is the IS specification for Low voltage switch gear and control gear. These IS are framed in line with IEC (International Electro technical Commission) These standards are available in Indian Book stalls or Institution of Engineers office, and technical libraries for reference. If you are practicing engineer in India ,you must always have a copy available for reference. There are IS for all electrical products. These specifications are very good guide to execute any work.
If you want more information on the subject you can send personal mail.
Thanks Abraham, what I understand is IEC 60947 has been copied to IS 13947 with copy write act. Hence you can also refer IEC. For MCC it has a standard size. But for a centralised control system control panel panel has no standard size. It depends what level of automation you are going to adopt. Normally manufacturers have their own standard control panel/desk, but at the same time they can fabricate as per project requirement.
