03/17/2008 10:06 AM

Hi!! i am not with tool room back ground but require cnc cutting for a thickness of 1.6mm to 18mm, i have been suggested a cnc plasma which is low budget and might suite me. My question - what are the categories in plasma and are they available in india or do i need to import, can anyone put in info for waterjet too.

thanks

We use these plasma units all the time. They work very well, and are cost effective. I have no idea what's available in India, but I don't think these would be restricted for export. Although we don't have waterjet units, we often send out the thicker stuff to be water cut.

LOL, sorry your way over my simple way of thinking. The engraving we do here is on metal and wood and I simply do all the math with a calculator,,,,,,lol,,,,I'm an ole'G code programmer amd have about $5ooo.oo bucks worth of programs to do the programming for me but at this time I still have no idea of how to use them,,,,see I'm still old fashioned and think when you buy something the folks that sold it to you should make sure you know how to run it and are doing your best with it. I'm still waiting for one of the 4 different suppliers I've bought from to show me,,,,,oh well,,,,,
