You beat me to it. Also, at my local used book store I saw a not free, but cheap, PDF generator package with a lot of features. Also, I used to download a lot of crap software from zdnet.com.

This link works pretty good as well and you don't have to install any software.
It only does Word to PDF and not PDF to Word though.

The CutePDF software probably has more features.

Any format to PDF is normally available with any one.

What the initiator of the thread seems to be interested in PDF to WORD.

Many replies are for Word to PDF !

Here is another to-pdf product. It acts as a printer driver, so anything that you can print can be PDF'd. The free version has 'nag' screens.

I use this one, it loads as a printer driver and works fairly well. It does have one nag screen, but overall seems to be worth it.

I also like pdf995. It not only prints, but has other modules to work with pdf files. My faorite lets me merge several pdf's into one so you can, for example, include a Word document, a CAD drawing, and an Excel spreadsheet.

My "official" company software is cutepdf. It works well, but I like mine better.

Search for pdf2word in google. (Verypdf). This is trial version which works 99 times, (initial) 5 pages only from the document you want to convert to word.

This can convert pdf document to word document, if pdf document is created from word only.

PrimoPDF also works like a printer, and has done a good job for me for several years. No nag screen, no usage limits.

Re: PDF Converter

I've used pdfill a lot (and am a registered user) and like it because of the other pdf tools that are available with it (merging, splitting, cropping, converting to/from a pic). Registered users (only $15) can make pdfs into forms.

The printer driver doesn't work with windows xp x64 so I've put cutepdf on that machine.

Adobe acrobat has a "text selection tool" Simply use it to select the text in the pdf you want to convert. Then copy and paste it into your word document. You loose all formatting though. My favorite is when some "rocket scientist" formats his text as about 50 tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables embedded inside other tables...

Re: PDF Converter

There are 2 types of passwords that can be put on PDFs. Owner Passwords and User Passwords.

With Owner Passwords the file can be opened by anyone but the text is not copyable. User passwords prevents anyone from even opening the PDF unless they have the password.

I use a very hand program called PDF Password Remover that only removes Owner Passwords and not User Passwords.

Your best bet if you don't want anyone to copy the info in the PDF is to make it an "image" PDF with a grey or watermarked background to prevent OCR programs from reading it anyway.

Adobe series is universally applied to people’s daily life in many fields like education, technology and economics etc. And as one part in Adobe series, PDF is also very popular among the crowd. PDF, also known as portable document format is developed by the Adobe company and it will not be affected by different systems. And I hope this can help you.
