Miniature RF id System

Hi,

I need your help:

for a project I need RF id for a limited space. The tag and the antenna should be less/equal 10 mm(13/32") in diameter, if less it is better. The circuit should be as small as possible. The identification is thought for inserts in a portable tool which asks for a reduced current requirement and a sleeping mode with even less.

Did any body met such devices? I tried via Google (as I recommend to others to do) but I did not find any totally satisfactory combination. In position for identification the distance between tag and antenna is 1 to 2 mm (0.04"...0.08") only.

I shall be very thankful for any indication even if the comonents do not come all of them from same supplier
