They are magnified RGB dots of your color display that now make all colors.

My friend told me that an unusual confluence this Year, Holi, Eid, Good Friday & Navroj on the same day! Engineers also need some color in their life beyond photonics.

I wish that life of engineers become more innovative and colorful from such simple display of colors. Of course, there are many other ways to derive happiness and to refresh and recharge the batteries of life. Whatever can work for you is just great. Holi works for many Indians who are coming out of winter and now entering into hot hot summer. Water is pored on people and perhaps time to swim in rivers and swimming pools.

All celebrations are out burst of emotions enough to break the monotonous life to look beyond. Festivals were discovered by civilizations to become happy.

Wish we all live in colorful world.

You country is coming into hot season after spring. so many people like to swim in river.

But your picture seems wrong show. its not color tv or monitor's three principle color dots whereas, three color papers.

color set dots line or arrange in column or triangle ways. when they are mixing, there other colors will be shown. I suggest you correct the picture. dont add any two of them each other.

Yes, engineer, you have pointed correctly that color dot on TV monitor are actually of different shape than shown here and their arrangement is also different.

It will be a great idea to show how these color dots are arranged and scanned in TV monitor through electron beam without missing a hit on them with such a fine placement of dots. can you elaborate this. I think, many engineers will gain from this explanation.

You can also point out, how color LCD works so well. Another good area is Plasma color display to be explained.

Perhaps we can have a separate discussion on color dots in display systems. This sure is of great engineering value.

I dont know how many the theory I still remember after given up so long time. I m sure I can reply most of them .

Cathod ray tube tv is different from that of LCD, plasma and LED. but almost of them are displayed by add color method. this is different from painting color tune mixing.

crt display by electronic beam bomb phosphros material, whereas LCD is lighting under voltage field, where ray delaxion.(E-man seems more familiar its principle) so do as plasma which is at high votagefield.

vrt bomb dot by flection coil, which produce magnetic field, wheres lcd depends on transistor switch, which is arranged a matrix, to hit the dot.

add color method is rgb added to produce huge color. we have this,

red, gree, blue ; cyan, purple, yellow complement

r+g +b =white

g+b=c,

b+r=p,

r+g=y;

If you study chromatics, you will find its very interesting.

In broadcast system, there will be change a little by values to suit radio channel transmitting. we call it compress etc. I dont think I can explain it in a short time.

Even if your TV image is small or slightly tilted, due to voltage fluctuation, you still get colour image. How ? Bumping on phosphor screen sure will miss a point and you will get jumble colors. You can never be 100% sure of perfect electronics with micron precision hitting, so how do you explain TV picture never getting affected in color?

My workers have ever asked me these alike question before.

However , not every tv can show color, of cause only color tv set can do. at very earlier persudo-color set, I still remeber they utilize verious way to impliment the color replay, optical and thin film etc. lets forget it.

Now lets back to your question.

Do you know the magnetic field strengh is very more smaller than that produced by deflexion coil. but this is not ignore issue, however, that why every color tv ste has a degauss coil and work often when the set is starting. in otder to provent from earth magnetic interference. which will cause color offset. what most often your ctv has not good color replay is caused by it.
