Limiter adjustment in Diphragm Compressor

03/25/2008 12:01 PM

I am facing problem to adjust the limiter valve of my hydraulic Diaphragm type compressor in order to set the maximum discharge pressure. Is anyone aware of the best way to set the limiter online. Or it can be set only at the test bench?

You are a bit short on detail and i assume you are not playing with the safety releif valve, but usually you adjust the maximum discharge with the compressor turned off or at least of load. Their should be also be a pressure differential switch that tells the compressor when to turn off load and cut back in to go on load eg compressor set to 7 bar maximum working pressure with the pressure differential switch set to 0.7 bar the compressor will cut in at 6.3 bar and cut out at 7 bar. If you have the diffential margin to small you will have trouble with the compressor coming on and of load continuosly and raising the pressure setting will not do much
