Pole Loading Analysis Software

03/26/2008 9:40 PM

Hey guys, just wondering what people are using for doing windloading and guying calculations for poles? I've come up with a few on the web like : PoleCalc, SpidaCalc.

At my utility we use LD-Pro, but it's pretty limited.

Just looking at some other views' on this subject.

Thanks

Not really sure. I think the Utility I work for historically let the civil guys handle it. However, they've made a commitment to let this go to the Designer level(which I am). So we do use LD-Pro to do this, but it doesn't give you a hard copy output(which is what I'm looking for).

There are literally dozens of types of poles and getting the data sheet for each pole can be time consuming. That's why I'm looking for another stand-alone program that will do it.
