Hi pitchaipillairengaraj ji Im thinking that this type of Xfmer is used to provide isolation b/n two ckts.

The purpose of keeping primary ans secondary voltage is of two purposes.

one to keep potential isolation between primary and Secondary side.The second one is to reduce the shortcircuit level at secondary side of transformer by choosing proper percentage impedence of transformer.This practice is always followed in all illumination system lighting transformer.

thanks for yr good suggestion, but this trfm is installed between two main switchgears.Why we cannot use any type of breakers at both end of swgrs.

Isolation would be the purpose also if the primary side was corner grounded and the secondary side load needed all three phases floating then the isolation transformer would be needed to accompish this.
