Julie Mustard, a postdoctoral researcher at Ohio State University, believes that inebriated (e.g. buzzed) bees could give researchers better insight into alcohol's effects on human behavior.
It's fairly obvious that any creature ingesting ethanol will become impaired and eventually drunk. And what's the point of trying to correlate bee drunkenness to that of humans. It's not like it's difficult to come up with human specimens to study.
