Hello sundararavi

If you want a stronger and faster setting compound, and the installation situation permits it, use what we used back in the 1950's.

Melt flowers of Sulphur (the yellow powder) place the head of the bolt in the drilled hole in the rock/concrete, fit a large heavy washer over the bolt head, and keeping the bolt upright, pour the molten Sulphur into the hole.

It will set solid as it cools, and makes an immensely strong bond, cheap and easy too.

Be careful the Sulphur does not catch fire as it's being heated.

Kind Regards....

Hello again, sundararavi

Your machinery is going to be large, heavy, and have some large vibration.

The Sulphur method is not going to do the job for you, sorry.

Kind Regards....

What kind of dynamic load are you expecting? What kind of bolt and what size is it? What tension are you designing for? What kind of machine is it (a recip compressor would require a different approach than a e-motor).

Why are you in this situation? I assume this is some sort of repair, what was the cause of the failure. Is the concrete oil soaked and cracked?

On first impression, an epoxy grout might work fine, but I would like to know more about what you are doing...

dear mr steve

foundation bolt size is M30X350 long made by us in lathe .whereas in head we welded a 10 mm thk 50x50 plate. the equipment is a 550 kw 1440 rpm forwardcurve fan.previously this fan foundation bolt were sheared due to inbalance of rotor .now i re install that fan.hence i need the grade cement which will be less cost with quick and strong setting one pls give me the detail.

Use High strength non shrink epoxy grout for critical and dynamic loading situations,

refer to that site :Concrete Anchoring - Sealocrete PLA Limited

Also, Grouting Equipment

Try www.fivestarproducts.com Whether they have a distributor handy in India I don't know, but they are really the tops in this product.

Fivestar is good, there are a escoel (spelling) is another. It really depends on what you can get in India, but epoxy is the way to go.

Make sure you keep that fan balanced. With this repair it will be even less resistant to unbalance than before.

Fivestar is good cementitious grout. Look for one with at least 8,000 psi strength. (56 Mpa)

I'd also look into HILTI or Power Fasteners brands of epoxies.

The grout ASTM only requires 5,000 psi (28 day).

I think Master Builders grouts from BASF are the best.
