Earthing in flying bodies is required mainly to discharge the static electricity and to prevent it. The aeroplanes bodies are made in such a way to minimise any sharp object on its body surface. Electrical circuits are earthed to boby. Earthing is basically to make a common path/conductor for return currents. Earthing of neutral ensures that.
