	Well, this comes as no surprise. We've altered the chicken so much, why not their microbes too. In fact, how about microbes of every food animal too. Add to that, we've probably altered our own also. They just don't cut people open to find out, ( unethical I suppose). All this crap they feed cattle, chickens, pigs, etc., like hormones and antibiotics, will come back to bite us in the ass someday. Perhaps it already has. But I'm not ready to go vegan yet. I couldn't live on just veggies, I like meat to much. Besides, there playing with the genome of plants too. If i had the money, I'd move to a farm and grow everything organically. Unfortunately, that ain't happining anytime soon. I'll be long dead before all of this plays out. 	Generally, there is a lack of wisdom in confusing 'knowing', 'believing', and finding 'plausible'. Too many equate 'belief' with 'truth', when, quite frankly, belief is often unfounded and itself not plausible. Also, humans, who only have a limited sphere on experience in both time and proximity, rationalize as truth most of what they are told is 'truth'. (its actually a little unnerving to consider what we actually 'know', compared with what we 'believe' to be the truth.) There is great evidence of evolution, and we tend to, by deductive reasoning, believe it. Maybe now, there is an actual example, but even this may be discovered to be an anomaly rather than an example ... who knows? __________________ "Just when I had all the answers, they changed all the questions"

	When we deliberately push evolution in one direction, instead of allowing nature and natural selection to take its course, results can be very rapid and dramatic. Breeding dogs for specific purposes is one example, but my favourite is carrots: bred by Dutch horticulturists to be orange in honour of the royal family (house of Orange). __________________ If you spend all your time looking for people and things to complain about: trust me, you will find plenty to complain about.

	Bhankiii, I am surprised that you have never had an answer to your question. Have you never heard the expression that "ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny"? This happens every day. Many times per day. 	Yes, I think I remember my great great grandfather discussing recapitulation as he divined the bumps on peoples' skulls. I see the proof of evolution around me everywhere all the time. It's the scientific observation of new species that's worth reporting.
