I have a problem.... I want to take part in the towns science fear but want to build my own transformer but don't know much on the construction of the transformer.Hope someone can help ME on where to find info on it.

Don't get sucked into that mob mentality. Resist it - and them!
Just curious:Is your town fearful of Science generally, or is it - like mine - more a fear of a particular branch of Science like, maybe, Physics? And you wanna build a transformer to protect yourself and your loved ones from roving bands of science haters? Take my advice: forget the transformer. Build a BIG Tesla Coil, put it on your front lawn and show those haters you're not to be trifled with! Kick Hater ass!
