Roberts Rules of Order are helpful when having meetings that make sense.
I am particularly fond of Old Business and New Business categories thinking Old Business ought to be followed up on and concluded before too much New Business is undertaken.
To be a great artist you do not necessarily have to be that great, you just have to finish things.
I have looked forward to a time when I or anyone can imput their location to SEP, and be told what combination of energy capture, storage, and generation is possible and affordable for them.
I imagined this being supported and available in conjunction and with the support of Google which is where a great number on line go for information, and would seem to fit with the Goggle Earth program.
Rick and Garthh have a list outside of Global Spec and CR-4 that has a place with us, in my opinion. Certainly Charles' website is of great value.
Gwen mentioned that so far we were a think tank, though Hari indicated he had a direction and some things on his end in place for the separate work he is doing.
I do hope to see Hari on You Tube sometime. I do think that video is important across languages and culture and miss Mr. Wizard. I also feel that there is too much reliance on the web and the internet and that we need to recognize that more people have tvs than computers. I am convinced that what people see done in their lives, or on TV or at the movies, they will do.
As a Non Profit organization hoping to help people who are struggling I believe it is a legitimate mission to make known all of the simple science people can use to have the energy they need to at least stay warm, and cook, and run some essential tools of the modern age.
For the poorest of the poor I feel stongly that a knowledge of how to make and wire cells for DC battery power would overcome some real limitations enforced by AC overreliance.
As an emergency module I have imagined a folding bathroom that was a generation station independent of any oil or external needs. It's toilet would covert wastes to gas, and its roof would be PV (Solar Panel) and it would be equipped for all other possible energy capture such as wind, as well as having batteries and communications equipment built into it.
I figure it would be good if such a folding module existed so as to be once delivered to the disaster area to at least not need further supply and enable more to be done to help others not yet helped.
This is a new business sort of suggestion for the group.
P.S. I've had some computer problems and have not written back to posts with the Reply All button.
