We need 8 MW temporary Power plant

Can u advise what kind of equipment preferably to select:

1 - Gas turbines

2 - Gas piston engines

No I mean what kind of advantages and disadvantages have turbines and gas engines.

Price, loading capacities etc

LOL, that is something that people usually pay a consultant a lot of money to determine, and would necessitate a detailed study of your specific application. I seriously doubt you are going to find anything terribly useful in a free advice website. How about this:

Turbines: good, sometimes

Pistons: not so good, sometimes

Turbines: require specialized service and maintenance training

Pistons: most people who have worked on cars can work on them

Turbines: fewer moving parts to wear out

Pistons: lower chance of high speed fragmentation if anything goes wrong
