Certification and Standards for Li-ion Battery Packs

04/15/2008 5:02 AM

Dear Intellects,

We use Li-ion battery packs which is rated at 14.8Volt and 1800mAh with a charger of 16.8V rated at 0.9A. We are looking to certify the products under all relevant standards and approvals that would enable us to cover ourselves when dealing with the customers all around the world. i have just given a start to get to bottom of it and have my mind boggling. Your valued comments and suggestion would be much appreciated.

P.S : we have got CE marking on which we believe is in-house.

cheers

Look for Lithium battery charger specifications and precautions. These batteries require current control, temperature of the battery measurement and battery charge measurement. Look at www.maxim-ic.com and www.ti.com/
