In drive ckt. why we use semi conductor fuse?

Because conventional fuses do not act quickly enough to protect the drive transistors etc.

I could argue that semiconductor fuses are not either, but we all choose to believe that lie. What they really do is limit the collateral damage. The conditions that would necessitate a fuse clearing generally means the semiconductor device it is protecting was bad to begin with.

And the fuses are usually on the line side, where the Diodes or SCRs are, not the transistors.
