What is the preferred bolt material for medium voltage 5kv-15kv applications?

silicon bronze, or stainless steel depending on environment.. Normal indoor apps use silicon bronze..

Don't use brass or bronze in damp, saline environments. It tends not to last very long.

Sir,

What are the practical usages of Silicon Bronze? Whether there are any additions to the Alloy besides 3-4% Silicon to give Golden Looks? Are we using Silicon Bronze in general engineering, particularly mechanical?
