I am looking for a text (or published article) which gives specifics
on how to calculate
the thickness of the boundary layer (BL) that would be carried on one
side of a strip (say a steel strip) of width (W) traveling vertically
at a speed (V) out of a water (or aqueous) bath. Which specific
parameters for the strip material* and physical properties of the
solution are critical, and specifically how does one calculate the BL
thickness. Basically, I am interested in a text (or alternative)
that gives a "sample calculation" if possible. This topic may
potentially fall into the area of aeronautical engineering, I'm not
sure.
* obviously surface roughness and surface tension might be included.
