how do we calculate the diesel consumption of a 1250kva generator ?

Measure the rate of fall of level in the fuel tank while the generator is running.

the engine manufacturer will have specific fuel useage for thier engines in BTU-hr/KW Then use a factor of 135,000 BTU/gallon on diesel. so about 95 gallons per hour full load.

just ratio the watts to get the diesel. Then use 1000 BTU/cf as the energy content of natural gas.
