Mobile devices can only get so small, after that, they will become unreadable. What is the next generation of optical enhacements? Maybe glasses with video lenses?
-A ONE button voice controlled key fob. (biometric versions likely)
-WiFi to earset... (not a fan of those, but oh well, they work great and will get better and smaller)
-device looks similar to a keyring flashlight, but instead of projecting a white light, it projects [via tricolor lasers or LED's] a screen containing all of your info onto whatever surface you aim it towards. Phone functions can be set up for voice control.
If you lay it on a surface, the 'gecko bottom surface' will hold on and it will go into [GUI mode] it will project a crisp image onto a nearby surface turning it into a web capable touchscreen.
When a call comes in it will project caller info is in surface mode and allow you to answer via touchscreen or voice control.
If you are on the go, and you are wearing an all weather version on a lanyard, or even a broach, you would give it a squeeze to project caller ID onto any surface and another to answer, hang up etc...
...just a thought
and an assemblage of exiting technologies to boot!
JE, don't forget the tie pin that provides you with a HUD (head up display) on your cars windscreen when you're driving allowing you to view almost anything without taking your hands off the steering wheel...
Includes infrared vision, 'night vision' and 'see through the fog' vision as well as warning of impending doom and automatic operation of ejector seat...
