Bently NEVEDA system

05/03/2008 9:14 AM

I need to confirm following queries.

1. Can I use tachmeter module 3500/50 for the measurement of reverse rotation measurent as for the rev rotation measurement probe XL 3300 8 mm is used and same is compatible with this 3500/50 module.

2. Whether sensor output is enogh to drive upto measuring monitor module ?

Yes, the 3500/50 has reverse rotation built in, but you will need two keyphasor probes mounted to look at the same notch on the shaft in order to make the measurement. The monitor looks and the trigger signal off of each probe and decides which way the shaft is turning. 3300 XL 8 mm probes are indeed compatible with the monitor...

As for question two, if I understand the question correctly, the sensor output should be fine, as long as the notch on the shaft is deep enough and wide enough. If you are trying to use a scratch as the trigger it probably wont work, but a keyphasor notch that meet Bently's specifications will work fine...

The keyphasor module provides a reference signal for phase measurements. It is an integral part of the monitoring system and should be installed.
