I am looking for a good school that will allow me to work towards a degree in electrical engineering preferably generation and distribution. I am living in British Columbia Canada and am looking for a school that is going to be recognized here. Thanks

Have you tried Learnon.org?

Learnon.org is a pretty good place to look for Engineering programs, especially if you're interested in distance learning programs. The courses they display run from seminars and single classes, to certification programs, to 2 and 4 year degree programs.

Good Luck!

I have researched this same problem and have come up with the reasoning that the ABET / AEC accreditation is just about a must. I was in the same boat as you are now. Working/school -mine is internationally, home on a rotation and gone again in a few weeks. Its a pain in the butt, but, you won't have to wonder who would accept your degree and who wouldn't (even if you are a quailifed eng.) If you are looking to go the PE route, it is almost a must to be able to show this. Its sad to say this but in todays internet enviroment, the scam artist have really hurt the ability of working professionals to improve their standings. I wish you luck in this! I know my journey has been, in the least, a reason for a good cream due to chapped cheeks! But, Hopefully well worth your effort.
