In Power Transformers what is the full form of IBT and IDT Kindly answer anyone thanks.

I am not familiar with those acronyms. Can you provide more info regarding the size or the application?

132/11kV TRANSFORMERS, I think IBT means Inter bus transformer & IDT means Inter distrubution Transformer it is correct?

IBT stands for Inter Bus Transformer, also known as Tie-Transformer.

No idea about IDT.

friend,

IDT-INTER DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMER -USED MOSTLY IN DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS AND USER END SUBSTATIONS OF 11KV, 6.6KV ETC.

IBT- INTER BUS TRANSFORMER IS BASED ON THE INTERMEDIATE SUBSTATION USED IN THE POWER NETWORK USUALY AS 33KV, 22KV 66KV 132KV ETC.

ICT-INTERCONNECTING TRANSFORMER IS MAINLY USED IN THE EHT SECTION, USUALLY 220KV, 400KV ETC AND ARE MOSTLY AUTOTRANSFORMERS
