Wireless, Temperature-Compensated, Pressure Sensor Systems

05/07/2008 8:59 AM

Hello everyone,

I am working on the development of an aviation grade wireless sensor system that will measure a temperature corrected inert gas pressure. The collected data will be used to detect a leak in the monitored system. I am looking for resources that are in production today and I need the sensors and datalink components. I will also need a software program that can massage the data and feed other low rate monitoring systems, such as a cockpit warning system. This is a military application, so there will be very high levels of EMI in the aircraft and its operational environment.

I am looking at using some Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) components, zigbee, and other communication schemes. I think DSSS will be the method that will prove to work in the EMI environment, but I am open to anything that will work.

I currently have funding to do sensor evaluations and wireless evaluations that will lead to selection of companies for entry into a production prototype stage. This will be a run-fast project, so I am looking for companies that have some recent experience in meeting customer requirements on a short development effort.

If anyone sends information, please try to include a link to the source of the technology.

Thanks,

Kerry

The fully charged pressure is 14.5 psig. The temperature range is -55c to 85c

This range is not difficult You want to put internal power using Lithium ell or want to power the transmitter remotely?
