Does any one know where to find good energy analysis information (FREE) for simple motor payback for speed drives?

Nothing about this is simple.

  1. What is the motor driving? A pump? A fan? Both have different affinity equations.
  2. What is the desired speed reduction? Is it a step reduction that can be handled with a two speed motor? Is it variable?
  3. How much time is spent at each speed?

Also, be careful with FREE information. You usually get what you pay for.
