How Do I stop my net from repeating?

05/18/2008 12:21 AM

I have asked this more than once, yes, repeating the same question...

I am sincerely stuck in some kind of bizarre loop and it is driving me slowly insane. If I forget its a repaeat, my pursuit into said repeat eventually gives me a startling reminder:The same exact place and answer and a different time.

Even my local newspaper website mysteriously reels in time....

My favorite forums...same exact posts...different date...

Blog sites, how few I go to...the same thing....

Searches are the biggest tragedy.I have found some web sites (listed from newest to oldest) from 2004!

The only prevailing dynamics I have encountered were of american source, and it is not even close to enough. I only refer to products I seek, showing up eventually (sometimes a year or more later).

Is there something I can do with my networking? checking for new pages automatically is functioning, there is something ON THE NET doing this to my BRAIN....

Hello bgd73

My first thoughts are that you need to flush the contents of your Browser cache.

Perhaps your Computer is showing you old, historic pages, rather than the new ones.

Advise further, with

Kind Regards....

You don't say which browser that you're using. Look up at the developer website how to disable offline browsing or updated webpage browsing settings.

surely that's normal isn't it?

if you search a subject you get the OLD and the NEW.

you have to then sift out the ones that are useful to you.

i don't see a problem here.

no that isn't normal, you can set your browser to update websites only on new information and it will use cached info. If the website is updateded and your browser doesn't recognize that it has been updated , many causes..ie outdated browser, then you will not see the new info. I have allways set this option to off, because of the possibility of mismatch between page and browser versions.

By any chance are you using the BACK button to get to a particular site? If you use the BACK button, the page won't be updated.

What country are you in? Is your ISP/ company server caching websites? Is your government censoring internet traffic? Did you set your computer to save "offline" content and you've lose internet connection hence reading old cached "offline" content?

How do we know you'll read this this year not 2 years later?

Did you forgot your ride in the time machine?
