Material Clarification - Reg

Hi,

I working in automobile company. We are using Gd - Al si9 cu3 material. I dont know the properties and composition ofmaterial. Would you explain about mateerial.

By the way, to find this using Google, type the grade in as AlSi9Cu3; Thats the protocol- no spaces, and respect the letters as Chemical Element symbols, not a plain string of text.

Hello

Please find attached the most important properties of G-AlSi9Cu3:

Tensile Strength: 160 ... 200 N/mm2

Yield Point: 100 ... 150 N/mm2

Ultimate Strain: 1 ... 3 %

Brunel Hardness: 65 ... 90

Compressive Strength: 240 ... 300 N/mm2

Modul of elasticity: 70 kN/mm2

Thermal expansion: 22 x 10-6 1/K
